The following activities nas been performed for one of the Fortune 100 customer for their global IT division:
North America, ESSA, AMENA, – Citrix IE 11 Upgrade: Citrix technology still leverages Internet Explorer 8 for certain systems, and is no longer supported by Microsoft. 2016 will be focused to execute testing required to upgrade to IE 11 on Citrix and remove remaining IE 8 dependencies
Global ESX Host Refresh: Refresh of ~ ESX hosts across the globe.
HP Data Protector Storage Replacement: Replacing the backup solution offered across all sectors with a newer, more reliable technology-NBU. This will involve moving in-scope servers to standard backup capabilities
SQL Server Refresh: SQL server – in place upgrade from SQL 2004 to SQL 2014
Oracle 12C Upgrade : Oracle will be dropping their free extended support of Oracle 11g on 12/31/2018. Upgrade to 12c to leverage new features for tuning performance and stability.
IE 8 to IE 11 Upgrade: Currently some Windows severs leverage Internet Explorer (IE) 8. This project will focus on executing upgrades to IE 11 to allow the Windows servers to move to the latest technology and support model
Windows 2003 Upgrade Support: Upgrade to 2008R2/2012R2 Microsoft Custom Service Agreement extension for global software
Cloud Investigation and Operationalization: The effort will allow us to investigate and operationalize cloud offerings. The initial use cases would include evaluation for Compute & Storage as well as temporary test and development needs. As the offering matures the use cases would be expanded accordingly
Appsense Deployment of Citrix: AppSense is a 3rd party profile management utility that will be deployed to all GFSS Citrix users to better manage their Citrix profiles.
Dell Server Refresh : EOL Dell Server Hardware refresh.
SLES10 Upgrade : SUSE will no longer support SLES 10 in 2018. Upgrade to current standard versions
